Make sure you read part I before you read these:

1. Network and build relationships with potential clients: Establishing relationships with potential clients can help you better understand their needs and showcase your writing skills and capability to handle their content writing projects.

2. Develop processes for tracking and submitting work: You need to find a way to organize your work and track the progress of each project. This will help you stay ahead of the deadlines and meet client expectations.

Additionally, you need to develop a system for submitting your work promptly. This will help to ensure that you are paid on time and that the client is satisfied with the quality of your work.

3. Utilize freelance sites to find work: Sites like Upwork, Freelancer, and Fiverr are great places to find jobs. You can search for open positions by category and apply for those that fit your skills and experience.

Look for projects that match your interests and strengths, and provide well-written samples of your work. You can even review the client’s ratings and reviews from other freelancers to ensure you’re getting into a good working relationship.

4. Seek feedback from clients and peers: Feedback is essential for improving your work and gauging your clients’ satisfaction. Aim to solicit client feedback at the end of each project and actively seek feedback from peers and other content writers.

Listening to constructive criticism is the best way to learn from your mistakes, identify areas for improvement, and grow your content writing skills.

5. Track performance metrics to measure success: Once you’ve started creating content for your website, you should track performance metrics to measure your success.

Some examples include website traffic, time on page, bounce rate, and conversions. You can also use this data to inform your content strategy and make it more effective.

Now that you have a game plan, when will you start writing?

In case you’re reading my work for the first time, I am Devieka Gautam — a top content writer on Fiverr (and ghostwriter, shh!). I write on (and lead by example by) embracing ‘At-Home freelancing for Women’ and enjoy advocating financial independence. My idea of relaxing is driving and drinking iced black coffee.

If you’re looking to kickstart your freelancing career? I am your safest bet. Head on to https://linktr.ee/fiverr_feminist to check out my services.
