đź‘ś Reliance Convoys In Luxury Again; Roman Brand Valentino Is On Board This Time
Jeez, do we seem like Reliance patrons to you by now? ;)
As much as we hate to admit it, Reliance keeps blowing us away with its extra luxury moves time and again.
So this time, Reliance Brands Ltd. (RBL) has inked a partnership with Roman luxury label Valentino.
Hold on.
There’s a lot of Valentinos out there: Valentino Garavani, Mario Valentino, RED Valentino…
But aren’t they all the same Valentinos?
Well, no!
We’re talking about the Valentino, founded in 1960 in Rome by Valentino Garavani, who made the brand unique for its “Valentino red” color.
Beautiful lace, silk chiffon, white pleats, animal prints, and details on clothing, such as beading in pearls, intricate embroidery, and ruffles, are as loved and make the brand what it is….
Pardon us; we got carried away.
Coming back to the deal!
So RBL has become Valentino’s official distributor, and you will soon be sighting the 162 sqm Valentino store within the DLF Emporio luxury mall in Delhi.
The outlet will showcase the label’s womenswear collections and a selection of men’s accessories.
A Mumbai flagship will follow — very soon — selling the entire Valentino range, including the PinkPP Collection for Fall/Winter 2022–23 and the new Valentino eyewear line.
Reliance is on cloud nine with the partnership — of course.
RBL’s MD, Darshan Mehta, was heard saying, “Valentino’s infectious romanticism, signature codes, and bold use of color has strong resonance in India.
This partnership will help make the brand more accessible to its Indian customers and build a new tribe of Valentino connoisseurs.”
Jacopo Venturini, CEO of Valentino, said that the company is as pleased to join forces with RBL.
The fashion house has made a mark with its presence in 144+ locations worldwide, 213 of which are directly managed mono-brand stores and 1,300+ are multibrand retailers.
Sales jumped by over 1 billion dollars, representing a 134% growth between 2013 and 2019.
Valentino gets its moolah from Qatari investment fund Mayhoola, owned by the Qatari royal family, who bought it for an incredible 700 million euros.
Stars, or rather super-stars, we should say, in the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Jennifer Lopez, Sophie Hunter, Anne Hathaway, Courtney Cox, and many more have donned a Valentino at their wedding.
Too long? Here’s a one-liner: Reliance Brands partners with Roman luxury fashion label Valentino; the first store is opening in Delhi’s DLF Emporio mall, followed by Mumbai in the coming months.
